Indiana Association of Chiefs of PoliceLead a coalition of public safety agencies to pass legislation that boosted accountability and transparency in the law enforcement community by requiring full employment record sharing between police departments to identify bad actors, provided additional flexibility to the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board in order to address significant officer misconduct, required de-escalation training for new recruits and current officers, and allocated $70 million to repair and update the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy\'s training facility.

Indiana Public Employers PlanSuccessfully defended the Indiana Public Employers Plan from legislative assaults that attempted to put it out of business.

Indiana Apartment AssociationOn behalf of the Indiana Apartment Association, clarified the statute on how common areas of multifamily housing are assessed, resulting in an annual savings of over $17 million for the industry.

Indianapolis Water CompanyHelped the Indianapolis Water Company secure a change in the state law regarding how it paid for its capital improvement plan.

Hard Rock Northern IndianaSuccessfully advocated for legislation that moved two gaming licenses off Lake Michigan inland to Gary and Terre Haute, which spurned local developments of over $300 million and $150 million for each community.

USA FootballLed an effort on behalf of USA Football to make Indiana the first State in the nation to require all youth and high school football coaches to participate in coaching certification courses. These courses increased safety and reduced the amount of injuries and concussions on the playing field.

Indiana Tourism AssociationWorking with the Lieutenant Governor’s Office and other industry partners, ITA was successful in pursuing legislation that created the Indiana Destination Development Corporation, a new quasi-public agency. The new corporation will usher Indiana’s tourism industry to new heights with greater input from the private sector and more flexibility on how it can acquire financial resources.

Northrop GrummanAdvised and guided Northrop Grumman in negotiations with a governmental entity, resulting in their organization being awarded over $95 million in contracts.

Visit IndyClosed a loophole in Indiana’s Innkeepers Tax law so that all Online Travel Agencies such as Orbitz and Expedia must remit taxes on the full retail consumer rate. Short Term Rental sites such as AirBnB were also required to start remitting taxes. Together the State of Indiana and local governments will see an increase of revenue in excess of $40 million.

Pokagon Band of Potawatomi IndiansSuccessfully ushered in Indiana’s first Native American Gaming Compact, which recognizes the sovereign rights of both the State of Indiana and the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indian Tribe. The agreement marked the transformation of the Tribe’s South Bend Four Winds Casino into a Class III gaming operation - allowing any gambling game permitted at state-regulated casinos.

CSXWorking with members of the General Assembly, INDOT and other rail companies, CSX helped develop the Local Trax program. Local Trax matches State, Local and private funds to separate railroad crossings, relieving congestion issues across Indiana. Programs like Local Trax are now being copied nationwide.
